Covered Ciborium #AS197-1, Silver Plated Brass

This item is part of the Artistic Silver Romanesque Collection created by Molina to celebrate the Romanesque Style, which flourished throughout Catholic Europe in the 11th and 12th centuries. The Romanesque Style was forged from diverse elements – Roman arches, Byzantine iconography, and Celtic ornamentation – into an innovative, unified and distinctive visual expression.

This graceful Romanesque Covered Ciborium features figures of the Twelve Apostles standing in a typical Romanesque Arcade that runs around the cup with their names in Latin above and the Symbols of the Four Evangelists on the base. It is 9 inches high with a 5-5/8-inch diameter bowl that holds 300 Hosts.

This Ciborium can be made with an Inner Cup in Gold Lined Sterling Silver, or made entirely in Sterling Silver. If interested, please call for information and the current price.
