Chalice & Paten #AS-152, Gold Plated Brass

This Chalice belongs the Artistic Silver Baroque Collection, created by Molina to celebrate the Baroque Period of the 17th and early 18th centuries, when the tensions generated by the Reformation and Counter-Reformation contributed to the formation of distinctive of national identities. The Baroque style is characterized by a focus on the monumental, a sense of movement, and a taste for surprising and dramatic effects. The vessels in this collection exhibit bold forms, undulating shapes, and elaborate ornamentation.

This Chalice, made in Gold Plated Brass, features rich Baroque ornamentation with medallions of the Four Evangelists. It is 10 inches high with a 3-1/2-inch cup that holds 8 ounces and is provided with a simple 6-inch Scale Paten.
