The origins of the Gothic Style date to the middle of the twelfth century in Paris and the surrounding domains of the French Kings. Characterized by pointed arches, slender forms and stylized ornament, the gothic style represents a regal and otherworldly elegance.

This remarkable Chalice combines the art of deep embossing with pure Gothic form. The nearly flat, wide, base, the tall stem and the embossed node and outer cup make this magnificent piece aesthetically pleasing from every angle. It is 9-3/8 inches high with a 4-3/16-inch diameter cup that holds 14 ounces. A 6-1/4-inch engraved Scale Paten with a ring base is provided.
