Chalice and Paten #2372, "The Visigoth," Gold Plated and Enameled Brass

This item belongs to the The Maestro Collection from Molina which represents the summit of the silversmith’s art. The sacred vessels in this collection are hand crafted using the age-old techniques of the silversmith’s art that have flourished in Spain since the Middle Ages. Some of the articles are faithful replicas of historic vessels, while others are products of the artists’ extensive historical knowledge and creative imagination.

This striking Chalice is made in Gold Plated Brass with fired red enamel and gold plated bands set with carbuchons. Called The Visigoth, it is a rich version of an early medieval Chalice. It is 8-3/8 inches high with a 4-7/8-inch cup that will hold 22 ounces. A 6-11/16-inch Scale Paten with a ring is provided.
