STATUE #S002 - SEATED VIRGIN AND CHILD

This statue was produced for Stadelmaier/Nijmegan, using traditional medieval methods. The hand-carved statue is lightly coated with gesso before being hand-painted and gilded. It is in the style of Flemish Renaissance (late 15th century.

This 3/4-round seated Virgin and Child is 15-1/2 inches in height, 7 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The wall bracket is 5-1/4 inches high, making the overall height 20-3/4 inches.
