Overlay Stole #50-2784, White Cantate with Hand Embroidered Decoration
The design of the decoration for this Overlay Stole is based on a detail from the fifteenth-century St-Ursulla Shrine in the Sint-Jan Hospital, Bruges, Belgium. Hendrik Slabbinck, founder of the company that bears his name, used this design as an inspiration to create this vestment. It is hand embroidered on velvet, a great fabric that enhances the beauty of the embroidery work.
This Overlay Stole is made in Cantate, a luxurious blend of 99% wool and 1% gold threads. The decorative pattern is hand embroidered on panels of red velvet. It is 57 inches long, 4-3/4 inches wide, and has a flat capuche at the neck
