Slabbinck had the honor to co-design this vestment  for Pope Benedict XVI, who wore it during his 2007 visit to Brazil.

The chasuble is fabricated In Cantate, a structured fabric with gold threads woven into the material, (99% wool and 1% lurex). It has a monastic cut, 63 inches wide and 53 inches long, with a roll collar and inner stole.

The yoke and panels on the front an back are machine embroidered with gold and silver threads on handwoven Seta (100% silk) fabric; the collar and sides are also embroidered.

The handwoven banding has random knots woven into the fabrics. These are not considered as flaws, but enhance the rustic beauty of this fabric.
