Christ Our Redeemer Church
Christ Our Redeemer Church, Niceville, Florida
We had worked with Fr. Roy Marien at Resurrection Catholic Church in Destin, FL. When he was assigned to another parish that was building a new church, he called on us again.
Ronald met with the building committee to learn what they wanted for their new church. To facilitate the design process, he built a computer model of the new church and presented several design concepts based on their input.
Ronald met with the committee again to present the design concepts and the committee unanimously chose this design.
The altar and all the furnishings feature bold arches that mirror the arches that span the interior space of the church and support the roof.
The altar and other furnishings in the church were fabricated of solid cherry, maple and rosewood.
The mensa of the altar was inlaid with a circle-in-a-square design, an ancient symbol representing the marriage of heaven and earth. The dedication crosses were added in rosewood.
The design process went so smoothly, because the model enabled people to see exactly what the furniture would look like and how it would fit relate to the space.
As a result the day of the church's dedication was a truly joyous event.
This was a large-scale project. Genesis Studios designed and fabricated the congregational seating and all the liturgical furnishings and appointments. But whether a project is large or small, we provide the same level of service and commitment.
